This guide will help you get the maximum juice out of your Android Lets get started........
I am currently using CynogenMod 11
Steps
-------
1: Settings menu....(In this section will we cover up all the basic tweaks which you can do in your settings menu)
1.Turn off all wireless except network as it would not make sense as why would you be carrying a phone without even using it as a phone
2.If you are a WIFI user and has a home WIFI and does not use internet pack........Go to Mobile networks and untick Data enabled in both SIM 1 & SIM 2
3. Put the preferred network type on 2G on bot SIM 1 & 2(If you don't use 3G)
4.Go to Tethering & portable hotspot and untick portable WIFI hotspot or Bluetooth tethering if turned on(very rare)
5.Go to Lock screen and go in the weather panel and untick Display weather
6.Go to sounds and untick Vibrate on notification,Vibrate during calls,Dial pad touch tones,Touch sounds,Screen lock sounds,Vibrate on touch and also in the charging sounds section untick enable
7.In display section put the brightness on to the brightness level you need but not want
8.In the apps section uninstall all unwanted apps especially adware apps and keep only the apps which you use frequently
9. Turn of Location
10.Go to privacy/cyanogenMod statistics and untick Enable reporting
11. Go to language & input and use only the stock keyboard ........go to the settings of the stock keyboard(Android Keyboard(AOSP) and untick Vibrate on key press and sound on key press
12. Go accounts and and unsync all accounts
13.Turn of WIFI and Bluetooth when not in use
143 Go to the google search widget go to settings and turn off google now
Most people may know the above tweaks but these tweaks and mentioned for those who don't know about it and also it saves a lot of battery life
Ok now lets get down to serious business
1.Install grennify and hibernate all apps including messengers like whats app/hike etc (but there is a down back for those who hibernate messengers as you wont get any notifications on messages from group or others and so you have to manually open your messenger and look at the messages)

2.Flash PurePerformanceX : Increases performance and battery life
Note: after flashing it you will notice that all the things are just toooo fast........so to make a normal seed do to about phone/ and press on Build number till the developer mode gets enabled....then go to developer options go to the drawings section and make the Window animation scale,Transition animation scale and the Animator duration scale to 1.0x)
Flashing Guide(PurePerformanceX): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360670
3. Install a cup controller like no frills or setcpu and reduce the clock seed to 1094 Mhz and minimum to 300Mhz
(this will not reduce your performance by any means)
Some honorable mentions
---------------------------------
1. Go to performance section the settings and and put the governor to power save(i my experience it saves alot of battery but it is so unstable that i could not even use my phone correctly so to try it if you wish to)
2. Airplane mode (as this make this phone unusable to make phone calls)
Conclusion :
--------------
this will save your battery i some way or the other but end the end it come down to you.......how much you use you Android..........for me it last me a day or so and still remaining 10 to 14 percent (you will not see the result in an instant give it some time....give it at least two to three battery cycles)
